Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance planning to announce full details in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports stated the company planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
By December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.
